It’s hard to imagine Main Street without Mr. Eddie. Mr. Eddie was more than just a barber on Main Street. He was one of those people who made Columbiana feel like home.

I’ve known Eddie since I was 16 years old, but over the past four years I was blessed to really get to know him and call him my friend. It wasn’t a week that went by that he didn’t stop by Sweet Tweets multiple times with fresh eggs and a grin on his face, ready to aggravate me. He never let me get away with anything, and I never let him either. We gave each other a hard time every chance we got, and I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything.

Mr. Eddie was one of a kind. He had a quick wit, a servant’s heart, and was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice. He spent years behind that barber chair, but he did so much more than cut hair. He built friendships, shared stories, made people laugh, and became part of the heart of this little town.

Main Street is going to feel different without him, and I know I’m not the only one who will miss seeing him walk through my door.

I’m so thankful God gave me the chance to know him and spend the last few years calling him my friend.

Praying for Justin and the entire family. We love y’all, and we’re so sorry for your loss. 💜 💈✂️

Saturday August 1 in the afternoon hours .
Dad stepped upon his eternal fishing boat with our Jesus to fish that golden shore.

Tomorrow we will know more about arrangements and they will be posted.

As of now the shop will reopen Thursday and I will still be honoring the back to school cuts.

The past 7 months have been something special that we shared. We have had so many God Winks.
There will forever be stories told in this shop.

Martin on Main will be in Honor and Memory of Eddie Junior Martin. My Dad, My Hero

Please prayer for our family during this most difficult time.
This is tough - But knowing that Jesus will always keep us together , but this stings.

One whole wall… DONE! 🙌🏻💜

We officially finished the last booth on this wall today!

I have to laugh because a couple of weeks ago I had never built a booth in my life… and now I’m actually getting pretty good at it! 😂🔨

The funniest part is that all of this has been happening while the store is still open. We’ve been moving vendors’ displays out of the way, building a booth, then moving everything right back in before starting on the next one. It’s been a lot of work, but it’s so worth it!

In about a week, we’ll start working on the opposite wall. Little by little, Sweet Tweets Marketplace is coming together, and I can’t wait for y’all to see the finished product.

Thank you for following along on this journey and for supporting local businesses. We couldn’t do this without you! 💜

Well… we’d call today a success! 💜

Another booth is finished, and this marketplace is really starting to take shape!

It’s been a lot of sweat, sawdust, and late nights, but seeing it all come together makes every bit of it worth it.

Tomorrow Meagan and I will finish the last booth on this wall, which means we’ll have our first entire wall of vendor booths complete! 🙌🏻 That makes me so excited because it’s another big milestone toward opening Sweet Tweets Marketplace.

Who’s excited to see what these booths look like once they’re filled with amazing local vendors and unique treasures? 😍

✨ VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Hen & Hook Crochet Co. ✨

If you’re looking for something fun, unique, and handmade, you’ve got to check out Hen & Hook Crochet Co.! 🧶🐔

This booth is full of creativity! From adorable crocheted trucker hats and scrunchies to totes, handbags, keychains, and other one of a kind accessories, every piece is handcrafted with so much care and personality.

Whether your style is country, lake life, floral, Alabama pride, or just something that’s a little different from what everyone else has, there’s a good chance you’ll find it here. These handmade pieces also make thoughtful gifts that you won’t find in a big box store.

One of my favorite things about shopping small is finding items that tell a story, and Hen & Hook Crochet Co. is a perfect example of that. Every stitch is made by hand, and you can see the love and craftsmanship in every piece. 💜

Stop by Sweet Tweets & Things and see what catches your eye. You might leave with your new favorite hat… or two! 😉

OWNER FOUND!

Someone just lost a piece of lawn cutting equipment in the middle of Main Street in Columbiana off the back of their truck. It was purchased from Tractor Supply and still has tags on it! YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PROVE IT’S YOURS! We have it at our store. We contacted Tractor Supply and they would not give us the information of who just purchased it.

🎶 TONIGHT ON MAIN STREET! 🛍️✨

It’s time for the last Sunset Market & Music on Main for the Summer, right here in downtown Columbiana! Come shop the market, support our local businesses, grab something good to eat, and stick around for live music from Pontoon Radio playing all those 90s country songs we know and love! 🤠🎶

🐦 Sweet Tweets & Things will be OPEN LATE, so make sure you come in and see us while you’re downtown! We’ve got lots of new vendors, antiques, handmade goodies, local finds and all kinds of things you probably didn’t know you needed. 😂🛍️

⛈️ Weather permitting, of course! If Mother Nature decides to throw a fit and the storms roll in, Sweet Tweets may have to call it a little early.

Grab your lawn chairs, bring the family, and come spend your Friday night with us on Main Street! ❤️

✨ VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Beeswax Creek Studios ✨

We have another incredibly talented local artist to introduce you to! Meet Kim Orsini of Beeswax Creek Studios! 🎨🐝

Kim’s work is truly one of a kind. Her collection at Sweet Tweets & Things includes beautiful handmade pottery and original artwork, and the amount of detail in some of these pieces is just amazing!

From hand painted bowls featuring koi fish, owls and other nature inspired designs to gorgeous pitchers, vases and decorative pottery, every piece has its own personality. And her original paintings are just as beautiful…sunflowers, bumblebees, koi and more! 🌻🐝

This is one of my favorite things about the direction Sweet Tweets & Things is going. You can walk through the store and find something that wasn’t mass produced or ordered by the thousands. It was actually made by someone’s hands. 💜

Come check out Beeswax Creek Studios and see Kim’s work in person. Pictures just don’t capture all the little details!
