Despite all the hoopla with my bees this spring, I was able to harvest honey a couple of weeks ago. So, I have fresh honey available if anyone is interested. I also made three varieties of creamed honey this year: mango lime habanero (added the lime this year to beef up the citrus), cinnamon vanilla (especially good this time around), and chocolate raspberry (creamed honey's version of nutella with a raspberry twist). Valentine's Day gift idea!

Nothing is more romantic or regal than dark chocolate. Why not pair it with another delicacy, mango habanero creamed honey, for a healthy twist on sweet? I stumbled on this pairing when I tried the honey and discovered it has aged strong. I surmised it might be good with chocolate. Sure enough, an equal amount of honey and chocolate is delicious! And the antioxidants and flavonoids of chocolate combined with all the amazing benefits of honey make it a treat you can easily justify.

Great as a Valentine's Day gift. If you'd like me to do the work, I can wrap a giant bar of dark chocolate (just under 6 oz) and a jar of mango habanero creamed honey in a gift bag and decorate it with a pretty ribbon and tissue for $12. "Telling the bees" is an English custom in which bees are told of significant events in the lives of their keepers to ward off bad luck.
