This is my favorite part during hot process soap making! Once things have heated up for a while they suddenly melt back down into an oily chunky separated mess. It can be a bit panicking to the new soap maker because it looks like your soap is ruined, but it’s actually just part of the process. If you trust the process and keep going it will recombine as it enters the next phase of the cook.

Well I had an order for some baked pear and cinnamon soap and I needed to restock to complete it. While I was cooking my soap I thought I’d video some clips throughout the process and share.

This is what the beginning of hot process looks like. This is after trace has been reached and the cooking has begun. At this stage it looks like a very heavy thick pudding.

My goat milk soap bars are now available on my Etsy shop! Lots of amazing scents to choose from! My bars are hot process, so they're very rustic looking, but they lather better and carry a stronger scent than other bars. I haven't had any complaints from prior customers and they keep coming back for more. Try them, you'll love them!
