year two of Adult Book Fair is in the books and we are SO grateful and thankful for the entire bookish community of Columbus!! 💚🩷🩵💛💜

thank you bookshops, authors, vendors, musicians, and volunteers for accepting the call and helping us put on the ULTIMATE bookish fair! without all of you, WE COULD NOT HAVE MADE THIS POSSIBLE!

your hardwork, skill, and craft is what makes this community thrive.

thank you also to all the friends, family, and partners who helped alongside your bookish business baddie! our support systems and help often go unnoticed, but know that our small business could not thrive WITHOUT YOU.

it was a hot day, that ended in a wet last hour but the love, joy, and friendship you all brought to the table is EXACTLY why we do what we do! i know WQB is happily exhausted and i’m sure all of our vendors are too, so we are taking a lil R&R today and we will see you next at North Market: Bridge Park’s Night Market! ✌🏽

Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend? The Adult Book Fair at Land-Grant Brewing Co. is back! Bookish vendors, food, beverages (smile), and lots of authors will be in attendance. Come out and say hi! The event runs from 11 am until 6 pm (I'll be there from 3 pm - 6 pm).

This event is open to ALL AGES. Pull out your 90s/Y2K fashion and let’s party it up this fall!

we are only ONE WEEK out from Adult Book Fair and we truly cannot contain our excitement!!! 🪩🪩🪩

we’re pulling out and dusting off all of our 90s/Y2K outfits and prepping Land-Grant Gravity Experience Park with the ultimate cool girl, Lisa Frank vibes!!

today is our dear co-owner Kristen’s arrival day! on this day thirty years ago, a tiny bean of a girl traveled from Seoul, South Korea to the US to meet her new family 🇰🇷💕 and so we celebrate her, adoptees, and all the chosen family we’ve created within WQB!

a note from Kristen:
when was first talking to Anne about starting this business, a huge collective goal of the shop was to bring a microphone and a lens to the underrepresented! I have strived to find the many stories of transracial adoptees out there and for a long time, it was a struggle to do so. i knew that if i was going to make this bookshop a true reflection of us, then i needed to source incredible adoptees stories. and having been open for almost two years now, i have met so many adoptees and asian americans who have also searched for belonging! i’m so grateful to do what i love and to provide you books from my voice and my background!! so thank you for stopping by and letting me live my dream!

owning this bookshop on wheels has been the most fulfilling job we could create for ourselves and we thank each and every one of you EVERY DAY for making this dream possible!
