Ever pulled out an old pattern and found a DMC color number that just... doesn't exist anymore? & ;

DMC has discontinued over 80 colors over the years — and finding the closest replacement used to mean guesswork and hoping for the best.

We built something to fix that. Our new Discontinued DMC Color Matcher uses real color science (Delta-E perceptual matching — the same method used by textile professionals) to find the closest current DMC alternatives to any discontinued number.

Plus: full conversion chart across Anchor, Madeira, and J&P Coats. Free forever.
