I love showing the before and after of upcycled projects, and the transitions make it even more fun. I saw another creator do this and thought it'd work perfectly with my new bags.

Taking old things and giving them new life never gets old, but it make get a little too sassy in this instance.

They'll be available at my next market at Round Barn Market and on my website before the end of the year!

It’s fall season, so that means a new original Speckled Creative fall pouch bag! What do you think, was it worth the wait? Follow along if you want a closer look at these cuties and behind the scenes of my making them.

All of my products are handmade using upcycled materials not only to be sustainable, but also to become a tangible reminder of second chances and redemption. Old things can be given new life in creative ways.

My plan is to post this pattern on my website by mid-September. Stay tuned and follow along if you’re interested! But until then, these and a few other colors will be available at my next market Round Barn Market on September 11 & 12 come see me!

I did my best to vlog some of my market at the Westerville Fourth Friday. I missed filming a lot of valuable things because it was fast moving and I spent a lot of time talking with people who stopped by to support me. 🥹

Some things I learned:
✨my booth requires more than 45ish minutes to set up and for me to feel settled
✨people love princess things. But that’s not really a surprise
✨when you mention retiring a best selling product for a little while, people will make sure to get it 😅
✨having a local supportive customer base is an incredible blessing. 😭🥹😭
✨Lights are a must for night markets

Like I mentioned in the video, I did better than expected. The vibe of this event is for locals to come and hang out with live music, eat and drink, and get free things from some local businesses. Which is not a bad thing at all! I was testing the waters if it was a good fit for me, but I did pretty well!

These pencil-shaped pencil pouches have been such a staple at my markets, but I just need a break from making them for a little while… so I’m retiring this product for the time being so I can focus on bringing other creative ideas to life. Get pumped! ✨

This will probably be the case for how Speckled Creative operates, products will come and go as new ideas become more or less exciting. Which hopefully adds to the artistic value of each handmade item!
