A Message for Someone Who Needs This Today
Maybe today is not about trying harder to shine.
Maybe it is about checking your position.
The moon does not create its own light. It reflects light from a greater source. And perhaps there is a spiritual lesson for us there.
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). He also told His followers, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14).
So today, ask yourself:
Am I positioned close enough to the Source that what people see through my life reflects Him?
When life becomes dark, resist the pressure to manufacture your own light. Stay close to the Source.
Stay close enough to hear Him.
Close enough to be corrected.
Close enough to be strengthened.
Close enough to be transformed.
Your assignment is not to replace the Source. Your life can point back to Him.
And perhaps the darkness surrounding you is not the end of your story. It may become the very backdrop where His love, peace, grace, and faithfulness become more visible through you.
Stay positioned. Stay connected. Keep reflecting.
Father, draw me closer to You. Let my words, choices, character, and presence reflect Your light today. May people encounter something of You when they encounter me. Amen.
