Four years ago, 43 began at a lil craft table tucked into the corner of my apartment. I was just looking for a little peace and creative fulfillment at the end of a workday. I had no idea how much that little hobby would change my life.
What started as a place to put my hands and imagination to work has since grown into a career, a boutique, a working artist's studio, and a home for the work of so many other talented creatives.
But I think what's even more meaningful than everything 43 has become is who I've become along the way.
These four years have challenged me, humbled me, introduced me to some incredible people, and taught me more than I could ever fit into one little anniversary post.
I've made things I never imagined I'd be capable of making, taken chances I wasn't entirely ready for, and learned that building a life you love doesn't mean every day is easy.. far from it😅
There have been long days, late nights, mistakes, growing pains, and plenty of moments when I've had to figure things out as I went. And there have been just as many moments that have reminded me why I started.
I think the greatest thing 43 has given me is the opportunity to continue learning, experimenting, making, and to wake up each day with something meaningful to work toward.
And none of this has happened in isolation.
To everyone who has purchased a piece of my work, visited the boutique, taken a class, shared a post, encouraged an idea, trusted me with a commission, or simply taken an interest in what I'm building, thank you.
You've all helped me turn this little dream into a life fuller than I ever could have imagined. And this is still only the beginning, with so much more ahead to look forward to🙂
Here's to having the audacity to go after the things that live in our hearts, even when we have no idea where they'll take us🥲
