I finally cracked it with research. This helmet liner is marked K/81. 3rd BN, K company of the 401st GIR transferred to the 81st AAA, Battery C and F for the Normandy Invasion. This unit landed on the beach and by glider.
•
This is a display in my war room. The only thing not OG here is the invasion armband and the gas brassard. The hunt is still on for those.

Here is the 28th Division corner in the war room. Majority is WWI era with the exception of the 28th MP uniform and helmet. Majority of the things on the wall including the far left uniform is one grouping. Also pictured is a rack half full of WWI and WWII 28th division uniforms.

Here is one of the newest additions to my collection. This is a 101st Military Police Company M1 helmet liner from the late 1960s to 1970s.

I served in the 561st MP Co which was previously the 101st MP Co. I love finding items tied to units I was apart of.
•
I am shifting my collection focus to unit specific things, airborne, military police, and other unique things i cant live without. Expect more related posts to those things mentioned.
