Y’all see a $20 or any priced custom-made item and immediately start doing Walmart math. 😭😂
“$20?! 😳 I can buy something like this for $5!”
Okay, baby. 🥰
Then go buy the $5 one. 😂
Nobody is stopping you.
BUT PLEASE stop comparing a small business creating ONE custom-made product specifically for you to a corporation mass-producing thousands of items at a time.
Because baby… that math ain’t mathing. 😂
You’re not paying for “just the product.”
You’re paying for:
✨ The materials
✨ The design
✨ Supplies
✨ Equipment
✨ Software
✨ Packaging
✨ My time
✨ My labor
✨ My skill
✨ My creativity
✨ My experience
✨ The customization
✨ The attention to detail
✨ AND the convenience of having someone else make it for you
You send me a picture, an idea, a name, a theme, a color, or sometimes just a “Can you make something like this?” 😂
And then I turn that idea into something you can actually hold, wear, use, gift, or display.
I answer the messages.
I work through the details.
I create the design.
I make the product.
I fix what needs fixing.
I check the quality.
I package your order.
I communicate with you throughout the process.
I handle the order from beginning to end.
And somehow… the part that gets questioned is the price. 😭😂
Meanwhile, some of y’all will spend $9 on a drink you finish in 12 minutes and nobody needs a breakdown of the ingredients, labor, rent, electricity, overhead, or profit margin. 💀
And I refuse to compete with Walmart, Amazon, Temu, or anybody selling products so cheap they’re basically donating their labor. 😂
I know what my materials cost.
I know how long my products take to make.
I know what my time is worth.
I know the value of my skills.
And I know the value of my creativity.
Custom work has VALUE. ❤️
So if my price isn’t for you? That’s okay.
You don’t have to buy it.
You don’t have to explain why you wouldn’t pay it.
And you definitely don’t have to tell me where you can get it cheaper. 😂
Just keep scrolling. 🥰
And to everybody who actually GETS IT…
The repeat customers.
The ones who share my work.
The ones who recommend me.
The ones who say, “Girl, charge more!” 😂
The ones who support small businesses without trying to negotiate every single dollar…
I SEE YOU. 🥹🩷
Your support means more than you know.
Community over competition.
Support small businesses.
Respect the work behind the product.
And remember: when you buy custom, you’re not just buying an item—you’re supporting the person who created it. 🩷
