Andi Kate, my sweet 10 year old, was thrown off a horse yesterday during a riding lesson. I was able to get her to the Crossville hospital (where Andy works) and they performed surgery late last night. Thank goodness for the best surgeon, anesthesia staff, and nurses who are like family. They took the best care of her (and me!!) all night long.
She has a humerus break - the bone was dislodged and in pretty terrible shape. The surgeon was able to place four pins to put it back together. The radial nerve in her arm is not functioning fully, but by the grace of God, she has some feeling and movement in most of her fingers today.
We believe that other than her arm, she is doing just fine.
All of this to say, I’m going to be out of commission for a few days. Andi Kate is home and doing well but she is my #1 priority and I need to give her my full attention.
If you have an open order with me, I will still fill it - it just may take me a day or two longer than usual. ❤️
