🍂 THE BOSS LADY TRADED HER BOUTIQUE HAT FOR A PAIR OF WORK GLOVES TODAY! 🍂

Today, the Boss Lady spent the afternoon doing a little yard work! 🌳🍁

You know, when you own a small business, there’s no shortage of things to keep you busy. And when you’re not at the boutique, all those everyday responsibilities that everyone else has are still waiting for you at home! 🏡

My husband, Sherwin, and I live in a beautiful grove of oak trees, and let me tell you… when those leaves finally decide to let go, we’re going to have a BIG job on our hands! 😂🍂

That’s why today was all about getting ahead of the game — picking up sticks, acorns, and all the other debris that can make leaf removal a much bigger chore later.

A little preparation now will make a whole lot of difference when autumn really lets loose!

Running a small business keeps you hopping, but so does taking care of home and hearth. ❤️ Sometimes the Boss Lady gets to dress up and talk fashion, and sometimes she gets to work outside and get her hands dirty!

Tell me, are you getting your yard ready for fall, or are you waiting for Mother Nature to drop ALL those leaves first? 🍁👇

✨ Do You Believe in Angels? ✨

There’s something incredibly comforting about believing that we have a guardian angel watching over us.

Maybe it’s that quiet feeling that someone—or something—has been looking out for us when we needed it most. Maybe it’s the unexplained moment when we felt nudged to take a different road, make a different choice, or simply slow down.

Whether you picture a guardian angel as a heavenly protector, a messenger from God, or simply a beautiful reminder of His presence, the belief can bring comfort, hope, courage and peace. ❤️

It can remind us that even in the moments when we feel alone, we are never forgotten.

And perhaps believing in a guardian angel also encourages us to be a guardian angel for someone else—to notice when a friend needs a little encouragement, to lend a helping hand, to say the kind word, or to simply show up.

Our friend Becka Jones makes these special little angels that make the perfect small gift that says, "I'm looking out for you," or "I've got your back." Pick the one that speaks to you and gift it! These little gems are available in store only.

We may never know how many times a small act of kindness becomes someone's answered prayer.

So today, let's remember those who may be watching over us—and let's be willing to watch over one another, too. 🕊️

Who knows…maybe we’re all someone's guardian angel in one way or another. ✨

✨ The best-laid plans can change in a heartbeat! ✨

We were all set to give you a little behind-the-scenes peek at our Cotton Patch studio move today. Because we’re working with limited space, this move is happening in steps—and, as sometimes happens, today’s schedule hit a little bump in the road. 😉

So, we’re taking a quick detour from our original plan!

But don’t worry… we WILL keep you in the loop! 🩷 We’ll be sharing the progress, the behind-the-scenes moments, and all the little steps along the way as we continue creating our new studio space.

Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and for coming along for the ride with us!

Stay tuned… there’s more to come from the Cotton Patch! 🌸✨
