✨ One More Dirty Job—DONE! ✨

The list of things to finish at 2607 C**n Rapids Blvd. gets a little shorter every day—and today, Sherwin and I tackled one of the really dirty jobs! 😂

The back side of the building hadn’t seen a w**d wacker, broom, rake, or shovel in quite some time. So, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. We raked, pulled w**ds, swept, shoveled, and cleaned up every bit of it!

I guess you could say this Boss Lady likes things neat and tidy! 😉 And with a small boutique space, every inch matters. Everything needs its place, and everything needs to stay clean.

After all, we don’t want the dirt from outside tracking through our doors—or onto our beautiful new arrivals!

Now that this job is checked off the list, we can start backing up those boxes of new merchandise and getting everything unloaded in clean, comfortable style!

👗✨There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes before you ever see the finished boutique. We’re building this little shop one job, one box, and one dream at a time. ❤️

✨ A WORD FOR THE WEEK AHEAD ✨

“You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.”
— Job 22:28

There is something powerful about beginning a new week with intention. 💛
What are we speaking over our lives? What are we believing God for? What are we choosing to pursue—even when we can't yet see how it will all come together?
Job 22:28 reminds us that our words and our choices matter. When we align our plans with God, we can move forward with faith instead of fear, hope instead of doubt, and purpose instead of uncertainty.

So as we step into this new week, let's decide to believe that God is working—even in the things we cannot yet see.

Let's decree that we will walk in faith, speak life, choose kindness, embrace opportunity, and keep moving forward when the road gets challenging.

And let's remember that God's favor doesn't always mean everything will be easy. Sometimes His light simply gives us enough direction to take the next step.

At Cotton Patch Boutique, we're reminded every day that building something takes faith. There are plans to make, challenges to overcome, and plenty of moments when we have to trust that the next step will become clear. And that's true for all of us—not just in business, but in life.

This week, let's decide. Let's believe. Let's move forward. And let's trust God to shine His light on the path ahead. ✨

We're still building, growing, and making our little boutique feel more like home every day! 💕

Little by little, all of the behind-the-scenes projects are coming together. We've almost conquered our storage situation (who knew our spacious bathroom would become the perfect loft storage area? 😄). We have one Christmas tree left to tuck away, an antique door waiting for its new purpose when our permanent checkout counter arrives, and a few sheets of aluminum slat wall that are looking for a new home.

✨ If you know someone who could use the slat wall, send us a message!

We've also added a few beautiful chandeliers, and the lanterns are now creating the perfect transition between our front showroom and our back room. It's amazing how those little touches make such a big difference.

We're making progress on our internet, too! Once our permanent connection is installed, we'll be moving our LIVE studio into the back room, giving us even more space to bring you the shopping experience you love.

We do have one favor to ask. ❤️

Do you know someone with access to a boom truck who might be willing to help us hang a temporary vinyl banner on the front of our building? The banner simply needs to be stapled to the wood shakes until our permanent signage is installed. If you know someone who could help, we'd love for you to send us a message.
