Building custom fishing rods in Corbett, Oregon.

As promised, #2 is done just in time for the peak of the coho run. Stryker Rods & Blanks SM795 with Alps hardware, Forecast grips, and some Air Carbon Mesh (AMC) on the guides. Only my second ACM guide wrapped rod so going to put this through the wringer to see how it holds up.

Found myself at Buoy 10 last year with coho rolling everywhere and no twitching jig rod. Never again! And because redundancy is good in fishing #2 coming real soon. Stryker Rods & Blanks SM795 with Alps hardware, Forecast grips, and some Air Carbon Mesh to make the label pop. Tossed all my wrapping tricks at this one.

A pair of fish sticks for an Alaskan and the frontman of The Builders and the Butchers. 360 trolling rod and a trout stick. Tight lines amigo.

NFC LMX Xray SA 925-2 with classic cork and reel seat. Alps hardware per usual. This is going to a good friend who loves trolling straight up naked anchovy at B10. She’s a purist and I respect it. She’ll tell you where you can stick your flasher and rest assured it’s somewhere where the lack of sun light will negate the benefits of a flasher. Sockeye is her spirit animal hence the palette. She reps France hard and wiggles fillet knives even harder.

Fly rod fresh of the epoxy is heading to Maupin tomorrow with a good friend for some trout action. NFC F905-4m blank with Snake Brand Guides hardware and a custom cork grip.

Seahawk themed 360 rod for the unapologetic 12th man. Have 2 more 360 rods to build then shifting gears to a few 5wts, salmon twitching jig rods, and some repairs to my personal rods that I’ve been neglecting.

A couple more 360 rods from the shop. Going to a good friend’s kiddos. NFC 925-2 with Alps hardware and Forecast Grips.

3 more 360 rod builds on deck then shifting gears to build four 5wt fly rods.

First cork grip is done and pleased with the results. Going on a 10wt being built by Pigeon River Rod Company.

Dabbling in cork grips. Fairly simple process so far, a little time consuming, but interesting.

A pair of NFC blanks (FW702-1 & FW704-1) from a mystery box purchase. A good inexpensive way ($20/blank) to get some quality blanks to play around with and experiment on design. I built these 7 footers to chase small stream fishes, jig for Kokes, and the occasional light tackle bass fishing. Will be pefect for Indian Creek on the fam farm in IL. Had to use my favorite spinning reelseat from American Tackle.
