Santa Mónica es una de las santas más queridas de la Iglesia católica, recordada por su paciencia y su constante oración que lograron la conversión de su esposo y de su hijo, San Agustín.

Biografía y Vida
-Nacimiento: Nació en Tagaste (en el norte de África) en el año 332.
-Matrimonio: Se casó con Patricio, un hombre de carácter muy difícil, violento y no creyente, a quien Mónica logró convertir al cristianismo antes de que él muriera.
-Maternidad: Su hijo mayor fue Agustín, un joven inteligente pero muy rebelde y alejado de la fe. Mónica lloró y rezó por su conversión durante más de 30 años.
-Fallecimiento: Murió en Ostia (Italia) en el año 387, poco después de ver bautizado a su hijo Agustín, quien más tarde se convirtió en uno de los teólogos más grandes de la Iglesia.

-La Iglesia la nombró protectora y patrona de:Las madres y las esposas.
--Los matrimonios con problemas.Los hijos rebeldes o alejados de la fe.
Las víctimas de abusos y personas con problemas de alcoholismo.

San Lorenzo se refiere principalmente a Lorenzo de Roma, un diácono y mártir cristiano del siglo III, nacido en el área de España u Huesca y mu**to en Roma el 10 de agosto del año 258.
San Lorenzo Mártir vida y labor: Fue uno de los siete diáconos de Roma y se encargaba de administrar los bienes de la Iglesia y ayudar a los pobres.
-Martirio: Murió quemado en una parrilla durante la persecución del emperador Valeriano, pocos días después del papa Sixto II.
-Celebración: Su fiesta se conmemora cada 10 de agosto.

Feast day is celebrated globally on August 10.

Saint Lawrence (225–258 AD) was one of the seven deacons of Rome martyred during the persecution of Emperor Valerian. Charged with caring for the poor and church treasures, he famously presented Rome's poor and sick as the true "treasures" of the Church before being executed on a gridiron.

Life and Ministry Served under Pope Sixtu's II in third-century Rome.Managed material goods and distributed charity to widows, orphans, and the poor. Commanded by Roman authorities to hand over church wealth, he instead gave it away to the needy. Martyrdom and Feast Day Martyred on August 10, 258 AD, four days after his pope. Tradition states he was roasted alive on an iron grill, famously joking with his executioners to "turn me over, I am done on this side".

Such gold the holy martyr Lawrence preserved for the Lord. For when the treasures of the Church were demanded from him, he promised that he would show them. On the following day he brought the poor together. When asked where the treasures were which he had promised, he pointed to the poor, saying: “These are the treasures of the Church.” And truly they were treasures, in whom Christ lives, in whom there is faith in Him…These treasures Lawrence pointed out, and prevailed, for the persecutors could not take them away…Lawrence, who preferred to spend the gold of the Church on the poor, rather than to keep it in hand for the persecutor, received the sacred crown of martyrdom for the unique and deep-sighted vigor of his meaning. ~Saint Ambrose of Milan
