Day 2 in the books. 🪙

It’s interesting seeing the balance between the collector side of the hobby and the business side of running a coin shop. Today started with numismatics, trading, and collector coins, then shifted into bullion later in the day.

Bought a bunch, sold a bunch, met some great people, and packed in more activity than I expected for week one.

Now it’s time to get online orders out the door and get ready for Day 3 on Saturday! Let’s gooo!

Opening day exceeded every expectation! 🙌🪙

Busy almost the entire day with a mix of friends, family, returning customers, and walk-ins. Bought a bunch, sold a bunch, and met some great people.

A couple years ago CW Coins was just a hobby buying and selling coins online.

Tomorrow, we open the doors to our first storefront.
It’s been a lot of work, a lot of learning, and a lot of support from family, friends, customers, and fellow collectors.

The showroom is finally ready, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone in.

Had a great time at the PAN Show in Pittsburgh this weekend. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but both the city and the show exceeded expectations.

Off to PCGS for grading! This 3-cent silver coin (Trime) has some wild toning.

Sometimes coins develop color naturally over time, while other times the color can be artificially added or accelerated and grading companies try to determine the difference. Think this one gets a straight grade or gets flagged for artificial toning? 👀

Either way, I love a high grade Trime.

This was a neat one that came in OTC. 1994 Princess Kaiulani Save the Ocean 1/20 Gold made by the Royal Hawaiian Mint. A common tourist piece in the 90’s where many ended up in a bezel like this one, don’t see this everyday!
