Our store, Passionate Feast Vintage & Books, is a regular participant in Crockett’s new monthly shopping event (3rd Saturday of every month y’all, rain or shine!)

Over a dozen shops & organizations host an artist or small creative business in front of our spaces, giving our funky little town the feel of a mini-street fair.

AND, the raffle? Fabulous! Each biz contributes loot or gift certificates valued at $25 or more; shoppers pick up a ‘passport’ with map showing each location and visit each to get it signed. Drawing is at 5pm at Eli’s Skate Shop on 2nd Ave but folks don’t need to be present to win.

This retro fabulous dinnerware--we're starting here with bowls--was apparently designed in the 1950's by Bill Kemp for S. Fielding's Crown Devon, in Stoke-on-Trent, England.

The red "Stockholm" pattern features an Art Deco reindeer lacquered in a bright cheerful scarlet against a creamy ivory vellum mineral glaze. The leaping stag sails over yon fluffy snowbanks (outlined in a tasteful pale blue, no less) amidst the scattered gray pine forest...iconic and charming and cheerfully Scandinavian. No wonder it's a favorite of such notables as blogger/vintage style maven Kate Beavis and foodie Nigella Lawson. Njut av!

Art Deco Print: a Psychedelic Xmas Fairy Princess, the 3 Wise Men, and a charming Arts & Crafts Bungalow...these examples of 1920's Greeting Cards are printed using a whopping 15 colors on textured heavy paper.

Have a very Flapper Christmas! The graphic in this Roaring 20’s print was originally used in a Chicago florist’s marketing campaign. It was included in a 1927 reference book as an example of multi-color printing...dig all that shimmery gold ink!

Pretty AND smart! I was lucky to find this luscious 1907 Art Nouveau encyclopedia set at the Bookmark Bookstore / Friends of the Oakland Public Library (FOPL) and it's now featured in my Etsy shop.

Set's 31-volumes are beyond amazing for their age--110 years old and counting--featuring buttery soft cappuccino-colored leather covers, tooled and embossed, with gilded lettering on the spines; full-page chromolithographs in vibrant hues; lots of engravings and maps.

Of special note is its interesting provenance: each book in the set is labeled with original owner and former California State Senator Fred Gerdes' name and several pieces of his ephemera are included, one featuring handwritten notes on the back of a political fundraising letter...a truly special set for the discerning antiquarian book lover!
