From ancient times Crystals and semi-precious stones have been used for jewelry adornments and even crushed to use for makeup, eyeshadow and lip color. It is said that Lapis Lazuli was a favorite of Cleopatra, due to it's deep blue coloration. She had it crushed and used it for alluring, deep blue eye shadow.
The metaphysical properties of crystals and stones have been recognized for years. My interest in beautiful crystals and semi-precious began about ten years ago with a purchase of a single strand of Denim Lapis. I thought "how beautiful" I think that would make a wonderful bracelet or necklace. The beautiful strand of Denim Lapis stayed in my desk for years. Then last year I had major back surgery and was home-bound with a back brace and a cane for over two months. As an active, type A, real estate broker, being housebound was making me crazy so I began to design and make jewelry. That saved my sanity and launched Belles Creations de Bijoux de Cheri.
Each beautiful piece incorporates only the most beautiful crystals like Swarovski or Fire Polished glass crystals. I only use the best quality of semi-precious stones like Lapis, onyx, jasper and Obsidian, just to name a few.
