This video got me choked up and I love it. Identity was literally one of the trickiest things for me to capture.

I used to NEED people give me my sense of identity and I was always fishing for attention, affection, approval, etc. Like people do, they got wise... and it almost always turned out nasty. Marriage/relationships will NOT fill this void in your soul.

If a person’s thoughts and words can affect you or your mood in any way shape or form... there’s freedom available from that! You are valuable and loved! It’s not anything you’ve earned or deserve but who God is.

When praying about what to name this venture, I had the overwhelming impression to call it “Anthem”. It took another 12 months before I actually looked up the definition.

God, in his infinite goodness and mercy, puts an Anthem of hope in every single season of my life. It’s like a theme song. It always becomes more than just “hope” as He grooms it into reality in my life. I had to be reminded of that truth by a friend I value and respect.

Our vision is to share with you all the hope that we’ve found and let that hope grow into health, healing, freedom, joy, peace, and knowing who you are because of how God sees you!

You are loved! You have value! We are responsible for ourselves but good community is so critical for exponential growth.

Leadership by Love is contagious! I tried to feed this little girl first this morning, her response was perfect “No thank you, Daddy. I want to be a good leader. I’ll eat last.”
This principle was documented from the USMC in Simon Sinek’s “Leaders Eat Last”. It highlights love of team over self. Go read something! Go be the change that the world desperately needs. Love and lead by example. It’s not just little kids who are looking to copy what works... .mission

My heart broke for our culture this week. As I am a part culture, I decided with intention to stand in radical opposition to it.

Our cashier wished me “Merry Christmas!”, then profusely apologized whispering “I’m so sorry - I’m not allowed to say that!”. I tangibly felt her fear and shame.

My kids are at the age where they soak in EVERYTHING. I could have let this go... but I couldn’t anymore. “Ma’am, please don’t apologize. We don’t practice political correctness in our house, we do Love and Respect. We honor people for who they are instead of who we want them to be.” She just looked at me for a moment. My response would have been the same whether she wished me Happy Diwali or Happy Hanukkah.

There is enough shame in this world. There are fault finders everywhere, especially inside each us, as we are often our own biggest critics. One of my favorite quotes comes from Heidi Baker (who has an amazing story). “Love always looks like something.” Love is always a choice, it never fails, and it always looks like something.

We believe your life is worth living to it’s best.

Go. Be. Love.

Happy Decembeard 1st! No-shave November is officially over! How many of you men let it grow this year? I’m going to the barber this week to get it trimmed up!

The challenge many of us have is that it gets itchy, painful with in-grown hairs, or it looks too unprofessional with stray hairs going every direction.

I used the styling balm on my growing beard this year and it was a game changer. No in-grown hairs, no itch, and with no fly away hairs it looked polished and controlled.

The base of our product is the same organic ingredients we use on our babies after their bath to soothe irritation. There are some other organic and natural ingredients to tame a stray beard into something controlled and professional.

I style my hair and beard in the morning while still just a little damp. The hold lasts until my evening workout even with four kids rough-housing and my beautiful wife’s demands (which if you’ve been married for a while you’ll interpret as chores and baby watching).

Soft Launch of our "Identity" Campaign officially kicked off yesterday with family and friends at the Pathway Bazaar in Spring Texas!

The idea of "Identity" is to get feedback from YOU regarding our signature product. We have small batched about 450 units before our Loud Launch Spring 2019. To those who buy, give constructive feedback, and hit a few other criteria - YOU will get some good surprises!

This is the recipe that I have loved for nearly a decade and rocked short, medium, and longer haircuts with. The first product released is our Hair & Beard Balm with a medium/strong hold and a medium shine.
