We moved a sleep machine for a customer today. It's one of those old machines that they used in sleep studies. The customer called us because they thought of piano mover would be able to move this heavy piece of equipment. That's Ryan. 😂

Finishing a new bridge cap. Making stop cuts and notching. All of this work has to be done by hand and requires an enormous amount of skill and focus. One error and it is ruined. No pressure. 😁

In 1698 Bartolomeo Cristofori constructed the first piano. This beautiful instrument has come a long way!

Below are photos of a 1879 rosewood model B. We were hired to rebuild the "belly" which consists of the strings, soundboard, etc.. We replaced the pinblock which is the block of wood that the tuning pins are driven into. The pinblock is what holds the tuning pins in place, and the tuner turns them in order to adjust the tension/tuning of the piano. Over time this component wears out and needs to be replaced. Also, we repaired and refinished the soundboard including a custom handmade Steinway & Sons decal. Then we re-strung it, repaired the bottom of the piano (where an old player piano system was installed), and completely rebuilt the action. This piano is truly a historic instrument as it was one of the first model B Steinways ever built. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this piece of history.
