Most people notice the problem after movie night.
Mounting a TV above the fireplace can look clean from across the room. Then everyone settles in, looks up for two hours, and starts feeling it in their necks.
The screen often ends up too high for comfortable viewing. Heat can also be a concern, depending on the fireplace and how it is used.
A better plan considers seating height, viewing distance, wall structure, speaker placement, and where equipment can live without cluttering the room.
A beautiful living room should still be comfortable for the people actually watching in it.
Would you keep the TV above the fireplace, or place it somewhere built for movie nights?
