What a beautiful, wild, rain-soaked, sun-soaked, soul-filling weekend at the Seneca Falls Canal Fest. 🤍
Saturday brought torrential rain, humidity, a soaked rug, and a whole lot of hauling things back and forth — but we showed up anyway. Ashley, Steven and my sweet granddaughter, Aria, helped us set up shop, and Chris, and my awesome grandsons, Santino and Cristiano came running in soaking wet just to see Ammi’s store, which completely melted my heart. 🥰🤍
Sunday brought sunshine, more humidity than I knew what to do with, and the kind of steady foot traffic and conversations that reminded me exactly why I started Solstice & Soul.
To every person who wandered into our tent, stayed a while, shared a story, complimented our setup, or chose a piece that spoke to them — thank you! From crochet scarves, leather journals, fans, candles, tarot decks, jewelry, kimonos, jumpers, corset tops, mini dress, stickers, and even that beautiful birdhouse — it was such a joy watching these pieces find their people.
To the new teacher at Mynderse from Alaska, the Penn Yan girls, the beautiful friends suggesting hamsa products & loving everything, the Maryland family, the lovely young man learning tarot, the mother and daughter who purchased matching white corset tops, the chic, gorgeous woman who came back modeling her jumper and matching earrings purchased yesterday-you started my day just right, the Binghamton daughter buying a kimono for her mom, my dear friends, Sally and Steve who are the absolute best couple, even surprising us last year with a visit at our Shell Yeah! Beach house, and my beautiful friend Kristin, who I hadn’t seen in far too long — it was so good to hug you, talk with you, and see you stepping into a new and exciting chapter. You looked radiant! — you all gave this weekend little moments I’ll treasure forever.🤍🥰
And to Ray — my rock, my soul, and beloved “equipment manager” — hauled, reset, kept me steady, chatted with the patient husbands and boyfriends, connected with the vendors around us, and made customers feel just as welcome as I hoped they would. I truly could not do this without you.❤️
Solstice & Soul is still new, still growing, and so am I. I’m a little free-spirited, sometimes a little wild (my latina roots 🇵🇷), always led by my heart — but this weekend left me feeling so grounded, humbled and grateful.
A huge thank you to Haidee, our Seneca Falls Canal Fest organizer, security and volunteers, our neighboring vendors, , Rebecca Bass Pro Shops, Ty , , & Andy -thank you for your shared advice, encouragement, bigger bags, laughs, purchases, and future event ideas, as well as making us feel welcomed, and most importantly, our customers, our family and everyone who helped make this weekend feel so special.❤️
This little dream is growing with a great deal of soul. 🌞
