Ten years. 3,650 days.
Depending on your situation and perspective, that can be a short time or a long time. Sometimes it can feel like both.

For our family, we can easily feel the span of the last ten years and the incredible change, challenge and blessing that has grown over such a distance of time. We can just as easily feel the fleeting v***r of “just yesterday” and the inescapable blink of a decade. Time is certainly funny that way.

Last week, we celebrated another Cotton With A Cause donation in Charleston, SC, as we donated 20 Covered in Cotton throws to children and their families who will receive care at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. You’ll see our family pictured here right outside the hospital, grateful for the opportunity to share a piece of our farm and our story with other families in our state.

In the other photo, you’ll see our family pictured inside a different children’s hospital, grateful that others had shared a piece of themselves and their faith with us during the worst season of our lives. Our 3 month old Tobin was battling a severe case of bacterial meningitis and had just survived emergency brain surgery. A whole ten years has passed between the long and short of these two photos.

Covered in Cotton began from a dream the Lord gave us in 2017 and included our Cotton With A Cause mission from the very start - for every ten throws we sell, we donate one to a children’s hospital in SC. We honor our (now ten years old!) Tobin’s complete healing, our family farm’s harvest, and the strength of community with every throw we donate. We praise the Lord for His healing, His peace, His blessing and the story He’s been writing these last ten years.

We are grateful to each and every one of you that has been a part of that story and the donations we make throughout the year. Your support, purchases and sharing our story are what makes it all possible! From our family to yours - thank you!
