Took a while, but finally made some Amish Muffins to bring with notes to meet our neighbors. Can’t say I like baking, but I do love eating my baking afterwards. Made 48 muffins 🤣🤣🤣

The Refuge: Terror From the Deep - as we go into a festive fall, I thought it would be fun to highlight one of our sea horror genre board games.

Highlights:
This game can be played cooperatively or competitively!
This game is great for people who enjoy puzzle mechanics, or card building!
This game has an excellent mix of pieces, cards and board configuration elements!

Difficulty Rating: We’re going to give this game a Medium/Experienced rating. A lot of the games mechanics are revealed through card choices which are random that get resolved at different stages, and tiles require different kinds of actions. These mechanics, mixed with the different ways you can get returned to start throughout the game can make it pretty challenging for casual, low rule players.

If you’re interested in purchasing this game for your family! We hope you’ll consider checking us out. We have a few copies left and would love to share this great game title with you!

This is one of my favorite books! Couldn’t recommend it enough. Very vivid writing, constructing a world unlike anything I have seen in film or television. The writing was beautiful and kept me checking a dictionary, the characters were humorous in a tense setting, and the story itself drew me into its sequel. Don’t run the risk of thinking anyone is safe! This book is not your typical ride. Get a copy at www.rowanstavernbooks.com

11 years ago today, I started dating Hunter! It was a few days after we first met where we both wanted a relationship with the other, but didn’t think the other was interested, but as we talked realized we were both in this together. It baffles me how much our lives have changed over the years. Back then I still only thought I could hope to pretend to have a full life has marriage equality hadn’t passed yet, and I had no notion of what kind of life we might have together. Now, I’m planning on buying our first home together, living a life I thought was closed off to me indefinitely. Being with .mrtens these past 11 years has made me a stronger, kinder, happier, more patient person, and the adventures we’ve shared could fill a lifetime.

Something I felt I lacked growing up, that I have been extremely pleased by as I get older is the pervasiveness of strong female leads in the fantasy genre. It is far too common for women to be portrayed as simple love interests pining after men in fantasy, but that is not always the case anymore and it’s been a really pleasant turn. In all fairness, I am not as well read as I should be, so stories like the Wheel of Time may be examples of solid representation, but I think it’s definitely becoming more mainstream!

I hope you get the chance to check out one of these books! I couldn’t recommend them enough!

This is one of my all time favorite books, a was a title I read last year! If you like a bit of dungeon crawling, irreverent humor, and bad-ass women, you will love this book! It’s funny, it’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, and you’ll picture a world unlike anything else out there in media.

A wild few months, my husband and I have been traveling a lot to visit family, and attend Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball! Greatest performer and artist of our time in my humble opinion. Glad to be getting back to some books and games! Appreciate your patience!
