This year, a portion of every yard of mulch you buy from us goes to the Ronald McDonald House here in Dayton, now part of Ronald McDonald House Southwest Ohio.
Recently, Matt and Alex drove down to 555 Valley Street to see exactly where it goes.
They spent time with Beth Groff, the Director of Philanthropy, walking through the House and hearing the stories behind it.
What stood out most was the reach. This House does not just serve Dayton Children's. Some of the places the Dayton house supports are families from Shriners Children's Ohio, area NICUs, 4 Paws for Ability, and the UC Health Proton Center, some traveling from across the country and around the world.
Choosing to give locally this year was personal. When Matt's niece was going through cancer treatment, his family leaned on a Ronald McDonald House far from home. He knows what a warm bed and a hot meal mean when your whole world becomes a hospital.
The giving runs all year, not just in spring, and Champion's support stays right here at the Dayton house. Display a Champion yard sign, and you save $3 per cubic yard while you are at it.
There is a lot more to share about everything this House does. This was only the first of many visits.
