Guys! I missed my travel update yesterday so here is a photo dump from today, and I’ll work on a video while i roam after work.

My Filipino coworkers today told me I look like Conner McGregor 😂

I FINALLY got to pet an askal! 🥰

And the school children we are building for are SO incredible! They love and appreciate everyone’s hard work so much. Every single day at least one group (usually more) will ask “what’s your name?” “Where are you from?” “What’s your favorite color?” And “what’s your favorite song?” ☺️🥰

My heart is very full thus far. I feel very blessed to get this opportunity and will make these kiddos and their families very proud, I promise!

I’ve also made so many new friends from all over the world from the All Hands & Hearts staff and volunteers 🙏🌎🎋

My phone only works on base and I don’t get to be on it much (thank god). HOWEVER, I do see your comments and i APPRECIATE them so very much so keep ‘em coming please!

🙋🏻‍♂️I’ve made it to the island of Catuandanes, Philippines! 🇵🇭

Just took a 6 mile walk after flying for 36ish hours and sleeping for 4-6 hours at most. But it was necessary. This is THE HAPPY ISLAND! Can you see it on my face?!

Chilling in Virac today eating street food, being laughed/pointed at by school children, drinking coconut water, swimming in the pool and resting up.

Tomorrow I travel by van and jeepney to the All Hands & Hearts base on the other side of the island and get acquainted with my crew and cell mates for the next month! So stoked.

I just smoked a Marlboro red for the first time in 20 years in the cig lounge with some K-pop pals and they do in fact taste much less poisonous than the American version I loved so many years ago 🚬

Cleanest job site this side of the Hinatuan Enchanted River 🇵🇭

Right leg was swelled up 2x at the time of these photos and I was checked into the ER about 2 hours later - Now 6 days later and a 3 day hospital stay (to treat cellulitis) I am officially embarking on day 1/38 of travel to the continent of Asia and specifically the country of the Philippines. Although I’m at the Holiday Inn in Erlanger, Kentucky currently 🫡

My belly is currently full of hotel restaurant nachos and antibiotics. Flight for Seattle takes off at 7am. Stay tuned for LOTS of updates 🙏🙋🏻‍♂️✌️

With the proper tooling, abrasives and TECHNIQUE it can be one of the most ZEN moments you’ll encounter in the process.

It allows you to remove the last bit of finish (usually) exposing the natural beauty of the wood and blends the field sanding WHILE flattening and leaving minimal scratches behind for the next step (usually planetary sanding).
