The Hero Shields Story
The beginning of Hero Shields goes back to 2004 when, in addition to his day job in the machine shop, Ronney was at the end of a 20 year stint as a volunteer firefighter with the fire department in Krum, Texas. With his already extensive experience in machines and plastic injection tooling, it only made sense that he would experiment with the plain, bare-bones nameplates abo

ve the lockers in the fire department in order to create something more personal and visually appealing. Thus, in his free time between the two jobs, he put his creative and technical know-how to work, and the rest is Hero Shields history. Our Hero Shields are a thoughtful gift for home or the workplace. With a space to note the full name, rank, and department they work for, these unique and customizable name plates give the rightful recognition to the hero in your life.

Our thoughts go out to lieutenant Dameon Burcie of the Dallas fire department and his family upon the loss of their young son Dyrk, whose battle with cancer inspired firefighters from around the world to send photos and videos with their messages of hope and support.

The fire department in Franklin, TN is sending their Family Safety House out to be toured by first-grade classes this Saturday. Since 2005, more than 10,000 kids have stepped aboard to learn about fire safety in the home.

FRANKLIN — The Franklin Fire Department’s Family Safety House is on the road again, bringing fire safety education to first-grade classes and special events throughout the area. This Saturday the Family Safety House will be at Lowe’s Franklin from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Fire Safety Day.
