We so happy to share our most recent collaboration, the Solstice Saddle by Ashley Sauder!!

Using our Suri Alpaca Lace base held double, this perfectly textured top feels like you’re wearing a cozy cabled cloud and I am not at all mad about it 😍☁️

We’re deep in Harvest Flower land right now at the studio, so we don’t have time to squeeze kits in right now, BUT, if you swipe through you’ll see all of the suri we have in stock right now for you to make your very own version of the Solstice Saddle 🎉 personally, I am very much feeling like I need a Fireheart + Forest Floor moment to happen 👀👀👀

The Suri Punnett Square pattern is now available (still for free!) on Ravelry!!! 🥹🦋

Sarah originally created this amazing “Punnett Square” design for us to show off the Butterfly Effect colorways and how they play together, and y’all LOVED it ❤️ so much so that she wrote up a free pattern version for y’all to download off the EKF website! Then, we figured it’d be a great idea to have it up on Ravelry so y’all can share your projects and color pairings on a space meant for sharing and inspiration ☺️

TUSKAFT VEST x EKF 😍 I am SO excited to share the color palettes that the team put together for our September Sample of the Month: The Tuskaft Vest! We decided to swing from classic, to soft neutral, to BRIGHT brights this month and I couldn’t be happier 💃🏻

Originally knit for us by the amazing Judy’s Knits when we launched our Middle of the Map Collection in 2025, this sample has a colorway from each region that we were inspired by for MOTM: Washington, Colorado, and New York ❤️

I am soooo excited to have color palettes for this month’s sample that spans across several of our favorite EKF collections: Middle of the Map (Switchbacks, Skyline, Gum Wall), Italy (Venini, Dolcezza), Farmers Market (Blue Spirulina), National Parks (Oxide), Iceland (Vatnajökull), and finally, Advent ‘19 (Snout).

Also, wanted to take a second to give a huge shoutout to Sarah who has been making all of our color swatches for us each month for our Sample of the Month launches. I personally know how much I appreciate seeing the colorways knit or crocheted up in the design, and we hope it’s been helpful for you too 🥹

All 12 colorways will ALSO be available as single skeins on Rockies DK in our Tuskaft Vest: à la carte listings!
September’s Sample of the Month launches Sunday, September 6th at 7pm Mountain Time. Sample of the Month, our 2026 Club, will be a monthly offering that has a turnaround time of four weeks.

Say hello to September’s (cozy) Sample of the Month: the Tuskaft Vest! 🤎🍂

We are SO excited to be bringing back one of our most popular samples this month as we head into fall: the Tuskaft vest by Sara Ottosson. Easily one of the samples we get stopped for most often when we wear it out and about, the Tuskaft vest channels an elevated, yet cozy, academic vibe that we personally LOVE here at EKF 🤓 It’s perfect for layering in chillier temps or wearing by itself in the shoulder seasons! AND, since it’s knit up with Rockies DK held double, it’s a perfect, super speedy knit for fall 👀🍂

We will be offering three color palettes for this release on our Rockies DK base, including the palette used in our original sample and two others curated by the EKF team 🥹 Every colorway (9 total this month), will be available a la carte for you as well if you need to pick up a skein (or two or twenty) for this launch!

September’s Sample of the Month will launch on Sunday, September 6th at 7pm MT with a turnaround of 4 weeks 🍂

Today is our final call for the Harvest Flower Rhinbeck KAL Collection!! We have been truly overwhelmed by the support y’all have shown us thus far and cannot wait to see so many EKF Harvest Flower sweaters out in the world at Rhinebeck this October 🍂🗽 If you’ve been thinking about grabbing a kit or creating your own version of the Harvest Flower Sweater, now’s the time! back in Denver and the studio was exploding with color today 🌈 we measured over 400 dye jars in preparation for our weekend of yarn dyeing classes and are SO excited to have folks in the studio again this weekend 🤯 it goes without saying that it truly takes a village to prep for these classes and it is so worth it every single time. And, surprising to no one, the team was moving like a well oiled machine today (and every day tbh 💪🏻) and got everything done in record time 🏃🏻‍♀️

being back here has me feeling especially warm and fuzzy and grateful for the amazing women on this team working so hard to create joy with color and yarn alongside me ❤️ we can’t wait to see what y’all create!!

Our Harvest Flower x Rhinebeck KAL Collection is officially LIVE! 🍂🗽🌺✨

Seeing your inspiration and feeling your excitement for this collection has truly meant the world to me and the team 🥹 whether you’re joining in on the KAL and will see us at rhinebeck or plan to stay home this year, we’re just delighted that you want to make something with us in the first place ❤️🥹 we’ve got 40 (no, I can’t count apparently 😂) colorways available as individual skeins AND Harvest Flower kit listings for all 3 DK bases with the team palettes available as well!

We cannot wait to see what color combos y’all come up with!! Reminder that the turnaround time for this preorder is only 4 weeks, so we won’t be able to keep the collection open for too long 👀🏃🏻‍♀️💃🏻❤️

🚨 Y’ALL WHAT?!? 😍 I am not going to lie putting together your Harvest Flower Sweater mockups has been one of the most fun things I’ve done this summer, and this summer has been full of pretty exciting things 😂

This isn’t even half of the mockups y’all submitted so far (my lil Apple Pencil can only move so fast), and I’ll be cranking some more out for ya before the night is over! In the meantime, I couldn’t help but show off the incredible ideas y’all were generous enough to share with me. I cannot get over how clever and creative these are 😭 I cannot WAIT to make this sweater with y’all!

The Harvest Flower x Rhinebeck KAL Collection launches TONIGHT, Sunday, August 23rd at 7pm Mountain Time. We will be offering 40 colorways, across three DK bases, with a turnaround time of four weeks so you can get to knitting on your Harvest Flower sweater asap (even if you won’t be attending NY Sheep & Wool this year)!

Introducing: ADIRONDACK DK, our newest non-superwash DK base 🍂🗽

For some time now, we have been searching for a new non-superwash base to add to our lineup, particularly a DK weight one! While we liked Earthy DK, there were some things that just never sat quite right with us, and we wanted to bring something new to the table that we loved even more than our Earthy DK base. Enter: Adirondack DK 😌 The name was suggested to me by the team, as a nod to my time in New York, and I knew I had no choice but to say yes to that 😭❤️

Adirondack DK is a 100% non-superwash merino yarn, with a 20.5 micron count, and 246 yards/100g skein. If you are still learning the ins and outs of NSW yarn like I am, the lower the micron, the softer the yarn 👀 For comparison, if you tried our Earthy DK base, that one sat at 26.5 microns! This new base is EXTREMELY soft, bouncy, and has such a great structure to it. A little more drape compared to Earthy DK, but to me, the structure of this yarn falls right in between Rockies DK and Earthy DK, similar to how our Linen DK base is, but with the feel of Cashmere DK. As I type this, I realize I may sound insane, but for me, comparisons are always really helpful when trying out a new yarn base that you haven’t gotten to feel in real life yet!

If this base needed further proof of its delightfulness, half of the team decided to use this base for their Harvest Flower Sweaters after getting to work with it in the studio over the past couple of months (myself included!!) 😍

Another thing I’ll mention about this base is that is takes color up more richly (a word?) compared to our Earthy DK and Linen DK bases. Still slightly less saturated than our superwash bases like Rockies DK, which is the only superwash base available in this update, but less so compared to our NSW bases in the past, which is why I am SO excited about it.

Adirondack DK will be debuting this Sunday, August 23rd at 7pm Mountain Time as a base offering for our Harvest Flower x Rhinebeck KAL Collection 💃🏻🍂🗽🌺✨
