📚💙 It’s not always glamorous, but it matters.
Every day, Friends of the Library volunteers are behind the scenes receiving donations, cleaning and sorting books, stocking shelves, creating displays, transporting materials, preparing for book sales, and tackling countless other tasks that keep our organization running.
Why do they do it?
Because they know their efforts help support some of the most important programs at the Dothan Houston County Library System.
Thanks to our volunteers, donors, shoppers, and members, the Friends donated $78,200 to the library in January 2026—helping fund Summer Reading, e-books, educational programs, community room improvements, and so much more.
