💚 WE ARE SO THANKFUL! 💚

We just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported The Green Heirloom! The love, encouragement, kind words, shares, visits, purchases, and support we have received have truly meant more to us than we can put into words.

And a HUGE thank you to our AMAZING VENDORS! 🌿 We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful group of vendors who work hard to keep their booths stocked, fresh, beautiful, and full of unique treasures. Each of you plays such an important part in making The Green Heirloom what it is today, and we appreciate everything you do! ❤️

Over the past several weeks, we have poured so much time, hard work, and heart into giving The Green Heirloom a completely new life. From the atmosphere and organization to the merchandise, vendors, customer experience, and overall feel of the store — it truly feels like a completely different place, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything is coming together!

One of the greatest compliments we could receive is hearing so many of you tell us how much better the store looks, feels, and operates now. We have been absolutely OVER THE MOON with all of the wonderful feedback! 🥹💚

We still have plenty of ideas and exciting things ahead, and we are only getting started!

Our goal is to continue making The Green Heirloom a place where you can walk through the doors and always find something new, enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, and discover antiques, vintage pieces, home décor, collectibles, and one-of-a-kind treasures you won’t find just anywhere.

To our customers, followers, friends, family, and incredible vendors — THANK YOU for believing in us, supporting us, and helping us make this vision a reality.

We are so proud of how far The Green Heirloom has already come, and we are even more excited about where we’re going! 🌿💚

The best is yet to come!

With love and appreciation,
The Green Heirloom 💚

Attention: To all of our supporters here @ The Green Heirloom, if you will take a moment to read this & support my father & I It would mean the absolute world. If you can’t donate, simply sharing this is just as good. Thank you so much💚

Anyone who knows my dad knows that asking for help is probably the last thing he would ever do. (I’m the same way) And truthfully, he probably won’t be too happy with me for doing this either. But right now, I feel like it’s my turn to ask for help for the man who has spent practically his entire life helping everyone else.

My dad raised my younger brother and me completely on his own. I was only 5 years old, and my brother was still a baby when he became the one responsible for raising us.

He never remarried. He stopped going out and even stopped drinking because he refused to let anything get in the way of being the father we needed.

And when I say he was there for us, he was there.

Growing up playing football, I can’t remember hardly a single practice he missed, much less a game. Every sporting event, every milestone, every good day and every bad one—Dad was there.

Was he hard on us? Absolutely. Probably harder than I understood at the time.

But looking back now, I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

He taught my brother and me from a very young age that nothing in this life is handed to you. He taught us how to work, how to take care of ourselves, how to keep going when things get hard, and most importantly, how to be there for the people who depend on you.

The older I get, the more I realize just how much he sacrificed to give us the life we had.

And it wasn’t only his children he took care of.

I’ve watched my dad go above and beyond for just about anyone he’s ever come in contact with. He’s truly the kind of man who would give someone the shirt off his back if they needed it. He has spent his life working, helping others and rarely asking for anything in return.

That’s what makes this so difficult.

Dad is 69 now, and recently life brought him to a sudden stop.

He has been working hard building his cabin at the lake—a place that he’s put countless hours of his own labor into and somewhere he should finally be able to slow down, relax and enjoy everything he’s worked for throughout his life.

But recently, he learned that his aortic valve is not functioning properly, severely affecting the blood flow from his heart to the rest of his body.

His doctors have told him he has to stop the physical work, and in two weeks he will undergo an aortic valve replacement through a TAVR procedure.

Just like that, the man I’ve watched work his entire life has had to stop.

And after his surgery, even though we are praying for a successful procedure and recovery, he won’t be able to immediately go back to doing the strenuous construction work he was doing before.

So I want to do something for him.

I want to finish Dad’s cabin.

My goal with this fundraiser is to raise enough money to help purchase the remaining materials and pay for the labor necessary to finish what he started while he focuses on his heart, his recovery and getting his strength back.

I want him to come home knowing that he doesn’t have to worry about what still needs to be built.

I don’t want him sitting there looking at unfinished work, thinking about when he can get back up and start working again.

I want him to sit down, look out over that lake, and enjoy it.

For once, I want Dad to be the person somebody else takes care of.

He spent his life raising two boys by himself. He sacrificed things he wanted so we could have what we needed. He showed up every single time. And he taught us what hard work and taking care of family really means.

There’s no amount of money that could ever repay him for that.

But finishing this cabin for him would mean more to me than I could ever put into words—and I know what it would mean to him, too.

I know Dad would probably tell me not to do this. He would tell me he’ll figure it out himself because that’s simply the kind of man he is.

But sometimes even the strongest people deserve a little help.

If I had the time to just finish it myself, I would. But making a life of my own & running businesses, & raising a little boy I don’t have the time right now to do it all myself. I’ve put thousands of my own money already into it & a lot of laboring days, so has my brother Truman who has worked a lot of long hard days helping our dad.

So I’m asking.

If you’re able to donate anything at all toward helping us finish Dad’s place while he recovers, my family and I will be forever grateful. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much.

And above everything else, please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers as he prepares for his heart procedure and recovery.

He has spent his whole life taking care of us.

Now I’d just like the opportunity to take care of him. ♥️
