In the aftermath of the tornado that impacted Dover, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who stepped up when our community needed them most.
To our firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, emergency management teams, public works crews, utility workers, healthcare professionals, volunteers, nonprofit organizations, city employees, and countless community members (all heroes)…THANK YOU.
To American Red Cross…THANK YOU.
To our local community leaders (heroes) - THANK YOU.
To any person or organization that played a part in helping Dover (heroes), THANK YOU.
You worked through dangerous conditions, responded to emergencies, checked on neighbors, cleared roads, restored services, provided assistance, and helped bring a sense of safety and hope to our community.
To the families who supported these first responders while they worked long hours: we see you and we thank you, too.
Dover is resilient because of the people who show up for one another.
This is more than a thank you. It is a reminder that when adversity strikes, Dover stands together.
