💗 A Little Update from Old Maid Stitchery & Bakehouse 💗
After a lot of thought, and honestly, with a lot of mixed emotions, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to take a long-term break from craft shows and custom orders.
This is not a decision I anticipated on having to make. If I’m being completely honest, it’s not where I wanted my little business journey to go. I’ve loved having a booth, meeting all of you, creating new things, taking custom requests, and watching something that started as a little idea grow into something so special to me and my family.
But sometimes life has a way of changing our plans, and I’ve had to accept that this is the right decision for me at this point in my life—even though it’s not necessarily the decision my heart wanted.
This is not goodbye. 🩷
I still love creating, and I don’t see that love ever going away. I just need to take away the pressure and expectations that come with preparing for shows and keeping up with custom orders for the time being.
Every now and then, I may do a pop-up sale on Facebook with ready-to-go gift items available for local pickup. Those will be posted here whenever they happen!
I am so incredibly thankful for every person who has supported Old Maid Stitchery & Bakehouse over the last 8 years. Whether you bought something, placed a custom order, stopped at my booth, shared a post, told a friend about my business, or simply followed along—you have been a part of this journey, and I truly cannot thank you enough. 🩷
I’m choosing to look at this as a pause and a change of pace rather than an ending. My hope is that this will change over time, but how much time I will need to step away is still unknown. For now, I’m giving myself permission to step back, breathe, rest, and heal.
Thank you for understanding, for supporting me and my family, and for being here. This little business has given me so many wonderful memories, and I will always be grateful for that. 🥹🩷
Our last event will be Saturday, Sept. 19th Silver Jewels Co Fall Market in West Frankfort. We hope you will come by visit us.
