A little behind-the-scenes look at me creating my mini fridge flower vases.

One of the things I enjoy most about pottery is the process. It's always satisfying to take a piece from a lump of clay to a finished pot. I hope you enjoy watching these mini vases come together as much as I enjoy making them.

Still obsessing over this glaze combination. For my pottery minded folks, I'll go into detail, for everyone else, please enjoy the beautiful photo!
On Standard Clay 112, I glazed the inside and top portion with Honey Flux x3. Below the Honey Flux, I did a slight over lap with Iron Lustre x3 (thick). I typically have poor luck getting Iron Lustre to turn out how it's supposed to, and end up with brown, so I made sure to apply my coats heavy and thick. Where Honey Flux and Iron Lustre met, I applied a THICK band of oatmeal. My pint was super thick, so I just dolloped it on (as you can see in pic 2).
In my electric Skutt kiln, I did a medium speed fire to cone 5, and God, the results turned out beautifully
