Here’s a fun breakdown of a random painting I did a few months ago. I normally forget to document my process so it’s cool to see the progression of this piece. My goal lately for personal work has been to start without any planning or ideas in mind and see where the materials and mood take me. It’s very hard to break the habit of painting only towards a destination - I was forgetting to enjoy the journey! Without the need to “finish” a piece, I’m finding more freedom to experiment. So here’s your reminder that no brushstroke is ever wasted. Every single mark (intensional or otherwise) upon your canvas is all part of your artistic path. Works don’t need to be finished or even liked for them to be important.
Ok, I’m done being philosophical. My point is: JUST KEEP MAKING.🪲 🎨 🌀
