This past year was a unique one professionally as the studio has expanded to contractual marketing. I hope to continue to grow my brand while helping others grow theirs, but I also hope to never go a year without using a brush, pen, or saw to contribute to my livelihood. As I reflect on the renderings completed in 2021, I am humbled that friends and folks continue to entrust me with their gift giving and the preservation of important places. You are giving ME a gift to be able to create. I took on the challenges of painting critters, microscopic detail, funky foliage, hundreds of windows, and LOTS of bricks. Can’t wait to see what addresses you send me this year 🧡📬

Oak + Mane Studio has evolved over the years, starting as a country sign painting barter system, now to a business offering a breadth of design goods and services: custom design for brands and events, curated spaces, hand lettering abstract woodwork, and of course, architectural renderings. The wise thing would probably be to choose one skill and style to master and focus solely on that, but I love to ebb and flow through different art forms, always working alongside other minds to craft something together, whether it’s taking your company to the next level, helping dream up a romantic proposal, making a space feel like your home, or painting your dad’s childhood house the way he remembers it.

Finally experienced this morning after delivering a print there a few months back (finally open and it’s perfect) then delivered another print to the Loop 📬 braving the snow was worth it for that croissant 🤤 and warm in my new vintage coat! V on brand today. Ps. paying for a parking spot on top of a foot of snow is ~so~ Chicago 🤦🏼‍♀️

Visited the snowy Flat River island this weekend to visit my brother’s family and picked up some goodies that fit right in with the Michigan-inspired piece. The S|H original ceramic reminded me too much of our bricks to not buy it 🤷🏼‍♀️
