Vidler's 5 & 10

Vidler's 5 & 10 Largest 5 & 10 variety store in the world! Located on East Aurora's historic Main Street since 1930.
(971)

We're the largest 5 & 10 variety store in the world -- until proven otherwise and nobody’s challenged us yet! You can spend hours discovering unique items in our 4 connected, vintage 1870's buildings spread out over 2 levels. Our practical and whimsical merchandise along with our nostalgic appeal have made our store a regional landmark and destination point for travelers near and far. We celebrat

ed our 90th anniversary in June of 2020, and today the third generation of the family runs the store on a daily basis. We hope you’ll get a chance to visit us in person some day as you can’t experience Vidler’s on-line, you’ve got to see it for yourself. As one customer told us, “your store is hard to describe, but difficult to forget once you’ve been here.” We agree!

VIDLER'S ENTERS THE 21st CENTURY!

Big news for us -- just installed new POS register system that accepts all tap, chip or swipe payment systems you might have. We'll still take cash, too, of course!

Here, our Vidler-ette Julia demonstrates how easy it is and needed about 37 seconds of training 'cause she's young and knows how this inter-cyber-space stuff works. Don and Cliff have been in remedial class all day asking "where's the button" and "why is the machine yelling at us."

Some may recall that the precursor to Reunion Weekend was Racing Day & Reunion Weekend when it first started in the early 1980s.

There were sulky horse races on Girard , and some trotters and buggies parading on various streets in the village. Those stopped many years ago, but the spirit remains as alums come home for this year's reunion weekend.

With summer in full swing, we, OK, me, love to post pics of our out of town visitors coming to the store on their vacation travels. Most recent family, friends, classmates, frat brothers and family of friends who have stopped by the store include our cousin Sue Vidler Rakow (Bob’s youngest daughter) and EAHS ’69 alum; Bob Portin Hamilton '76 and Chi Psi brother; Stu Williams Hamilton '81 and younger Chi Psi brother; and Amy Cassidy, sister of classmate Garret Cassidy Negri.

And they didn't come to the store, but just because we're great friends and Hamilton '78 classmates -- and we looked spiffy in our Norge jerseys when we attended a World Cup game in Boston: Tom Hanshaw, Jay Maloney, John Ernst, Don Vidler

“Holiday Touchdown – A Bills Love Story” was filmed extensively in East Aurora, with many scenes in our store. Including the big reveal that helped solve a mystery!

If your summer fun-cation or stay-cation includes a visit to Western New York, be sure to swing by to see where Morgan and Gabe trod our floors!

And if you can’t get here in person, the movie will be part of Hallmark’s “Christmas in July” and airing on the Hallmark Channel this Sunday, July 5, 12 to 2 PM, Eastern.
