Hi guys, i need to share something real. Last night after getting home from the event we found our senior boy panicked and confused in the closet.
He had somehow gotten himself locked in there in the 3 hours between checkin times. We got him and gave him all the loves and cuddles and Ice cubes in case he was dehydrated, but he just wasn't right. He was acting like he couldn't see us or recognize anything. Then Dan picked him up for big cuddles on the bed and he had what I would call a massive grand mal seizure that lasted just over 8 minutes.
I called my wonderful friends at , the emergency hospital in Overland Park that cares. We got him in and decided after evaluation to let him go. While doing that we had 3 more seizures. It was clearly time. It was gracious chaos. I held his paw as his soul slipped through me on his journey beyond.
I thank them for their kindness from the bottom of my heart. And now we must live with the silence in our home. It's so loud, the echoing quiet in the space my boy used to occupy. Please share your favorite pictures of your beloved pets and I will choose one person to make a lithophane for, at no cost in Rileys name. Also tell me your favorite memories!
