The Dinagat Islands Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office-LGU is mandated to be the primary office responsible for the management, conservation, utilization, and development of the province’s environment and natural resources. VISION

The PENRO-LGU envisions: A Province of Dinagat Islands with socio-economic freedom through a sustained and abundant healthy environment-laden

values of people, responsibly enjoying the natural resource-based driven quality of life. MISSION

The PENRO-LGU commits to be the trustee of the present and future generations of the Province of Dinagat Islands in the pursuit of sustainable development, through enabling stakeholders’ participation in the protection, conservation, and management of the local environment and natural resources that would contribute to the national socio-economic development of the country.

On September 15, 2023| 5:30 in the morning, our Provincial Local Government through the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO-LGU) and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDDRMO) will officially launch the Bangkasura and Scubasurero initiative: A remedy for the environment in response to marine litters.

This program is in support to the National Plan of Action for the Prevention, Reduction and Management of Marine Litter strategy No. 6 and the Solid Waste Management Plan in the Province.
