Just want to Thank all my followers and clients for this week. I was blessed to meet some that were willing to help me continue to help those that may not be able to buy new parts. I was able to help some that needed repairs and also was able to sell a couple of machines I refurbished this week.
So all in all this week was a GREAT WEEK.

With the permission of my customer today to post these pictures of before and after results I wanted to explain why routine dryer cleaning is important.
As you can see in the pictures of the dryer cabinet there is a lot of lint buildup. When the dryer gets like this it can’t exhaust the lint fast enough so it builds moisture due to heat (note the picture of the wet lint on the ground) yes I did clean that up before leaving the job. So after cleaning the inside of the dryer I moved dryer out to remove back panel. When I removed the dryer vent hose water started coming out. Instantly I knew the outside exhaust vent was plugged as seen in one of the pictures. The result was all the wet lint in the yard picture from me trying not to make a mess in the house. Once it was all cleaned up and the issue resolved I explained to the customers the importance of lint screen cleaning and checking the outside screen periodically. In my short time dealing with these repairs I have found this problem with exhaust lines plugged a couple of times.
So here is my hint to know if you need to check yours before you have to do a full cleaning. After running the dryer for maybe 5-10 minutes open the door and if you feel steam or if you wear glasses like I do they fog up that is a tell sign that you are not exhausting the heat fast enough.

This video covers as parts availability and complexity of repairs. Video is a little over 30 minutes long but better to spend 30 minutes of educating yourself than the headache of having constant repair cost.

I know I posted this morning about helping my niece in Indiana, but I did forget to mention last night I was asked if I had parts available for a dryer. Unfortunately I didn’t for that particular one, but was happy to help that person find part numbers to assist him. Once we determined what he needed I forwarded the parts list he needed to order.
Then this evening I was able to assist another follower get her machine going by having the part she needed to get her dryer going with the assistance of her son. Didn’t have the high limit switch they needed to replace which is recommended to replace when the thermal cut fuse but was able to order for them. But for now they are able to use their dryer.

Let’s Fix it Jackson County was able to assist on a repair all the way In Evansville, Indiana this morning.
My niece posted she was looking for a dryer. So I asked what the issue was and she explained her symptoms. Gave her the 2 most common issues and how to test one without any special tools. She checked the door switch and her husband was able to replace and repair it!
I will say it again to all my followers, I am here to assist you. For those that want to do it yourself. I Have no issue losing a job because you are willing to try to repair yourself. Just warn you do it safely if it’s making any electrical component repairs. Disconnect the power take pictures of orientation of part and wiring.

It was a slow week but I am thankful for the opportunities I had this week.
I wanted to mention if anyone has the dreaded drain pump won’t stop running issue send me a message. If you are told the control board needs to be replaced at a cost of $185 & up for the board alone please send me a model number to your machine to see if I can repair your control board.
