BIKE & HIKE Effingham

Pretty neat to see how successful the Keller girls have been in their track and XC running careers. It's great to know our little shop has helped them cross-train and keep their fitness and health in balance.

For years, we have encouraged running coaches in the region to help their athletes stay fit year-round by using a bike to maintain fitness and avoid overtraining and injury.

KELLER RANKED #1 IN STATE,
RANKED #6 IN NATION
Effingham St Anthony Cross Country runner, Isabella Keller, is ranked #1 in the State among all Class 1A runners, and she has garnered a lot of national attention, placing fourth at the Nike Cross Nationals, and she is currently ranked #6 in the U.S. by DyeStat. This weekend, Isabella will try to repeat as girls champion in the Nike XC Town Twilight meet at Terre Haute, IN.
Last weekend, she won the three-mile Spartan Classic in St Joseph, Illinois with a time of 16:07.7.

In track & field, Keller was back-to-back State Champion in the 3,200 meter run, and she would love to add the Cross Country Title to her mantle of awards and trophies. On top of that, she is an honor student in the classroom with a perfect 4.0 gpa. Keller is a Penn State University signee. Way to go, Isabella!

Who says you need a 'gravel' bike to ride gravel?

Recently, two Trek athletes won the US Gravel Championships in Minnesota on the Trek Domane, an All-Road bicycle. That says a lot about the bike's versatility!

If you want one bike to do it all, check out the Trek Domane.

The home of Trek Factory Racing, and all the Trek programs. Whether its road, XC, enduro, downhill, freeride, cyclocross or triathlon, you’ll find a Trek athlete, racing for the win.

If it’s been all year and you need a tune-up before ‘Bike to School Day’, come and see us! Have fun biking to school!

Teutopolis Junior High School will be hosting a Bike to School event this Friday, September 25. We’re excited to see students enjoying the opportunity to ride their bikes to school.

We kindly ask everyone traveling through Teutopolis that morning to be extra watchful for students on bikes before and after school. Please slow down, stay alert, and give junior high cyclists plenty of space.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!
