Tiny makers who don’t have a budget for light box DIY. MiairaJenning’s 9 year old YouTube video will do the trick for a while. I love a buy-nothing DIY. Product photography is a chore, and this will ease some of my fumbling for light and backdrop. For now.

Last night, for seemingly no reason, I whipped up a mirror in the shape of a cigarette. At first I wasn’t sure why that was in my head, then I remembered that last week, my sister had been talking about wanting to find cigarette dog toys. And two days ago, my aunt gifted me a framed painting of a cat smoking.

Thank you to (my favorite spot for blind date books! I never leave there without one) for hosting a beautiful market last night and inviting me to vend! I hadn’t done a market since 2013, but getting back to it is part of a larger plan for a venture that will still have me teaching, but in a different capacity: for the community—I hope to share by early 2026! 🤞🏽and thank you to my sister .la.romi who threw down zhuzhing up my spot. And all my favorite people who cruised through the evening with me. 💛💛💛
