One spray and every teenage boy suddenly forgot what class he was supposed to be in. 😭😂

If you went to middle school or high school in the early ’90s, YOU KNOW. Before the designer perfumes, before anybody knew what “fragrance notes” were… there was Malibu Musk.

That sweet, fruity scent was EVERYWHERE—hallways, lockers, school dances, skating rinks… and somehow every girl was wearing it.

I still remember buying this for my girlfriend around ’89/’90. Back then, Malibu Musk was basically teenage luxury. 😂 Before you graduated to the grown-woman perfume, THIS was the scent.

Ladies, be honest… did you wear Malibu Musk? 👀

On September 4, 2003, F@ Ya Label presented Do Ya Thing at Hiney’s — a night built around one thing: supporting local hip-hop. 🌵

This wasn’t just another show. The night brought together a stacked lineup of local emcees, DJs and artists, along with an MC freestyle battle, a Sexy Lady Contest, and a room full of people supporting the 915 scene.

And check out that flyer. 👀🔥 Hand-drawn by longtime El Paso tattoo artist Pelon, it’s a perfect time capsule of that early-2000s DIY era — before social media flyers and online promotion took over, artwork like this helped spread the word.

I ran track in seventh grade back in ’89 too, but this picture was taken during my eighth-grade year in 1990—and the kicks match the timeline. 👟 I really wore my basketball shoes for the track-team photo because even back then, I had to keep my feet fresh! 😂

😂🌧️ You know you’re from El Paso when… 15 minutes of rain turns the whole city into a water park.

It’ll be sunny and 95° all day… then one storm rolls through and suddenly I-10 got beachfront property. 😭🌊

And somehow there’s ALWAYS that one dude in a truck doing 55 through three feet of water like:

“I got this.” 💀🛻💦

Meanwhile everybody else is trying to remember which streets flood, which underpasses to avoid, and whether they should’ve just stayed home. 😂

TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.

Today’s pick: Obsession for Men by Calvin Klein.

Technically released in 1986, but if you came up in the ’90s, you already know this bottle was still putting in WORK. 😂

Warm. Spicy. Bold. Seductive.

Obsession wasn’t the fresh-out-the-shower vibe of Cool Water or Acqua di Giò. This was darker. Warmer. More grown.

This was the bottle you reached for when you were actually trying to make an impression. 😏
