Saturday was such an amazing day. I'm still pinching myself! We sold so many flowers, met so many wonderful people, and the weather was absolutely perfect.

I even got to watch Brent make his very first arrangement when he so graciously stepped in while I grabbed lunch. That was definitely something I bragged about all day long! I truly couldn't do this without him.

If you missed us, Bluebell the Flower Truck will be back out on October 10th at the Fall-O-Dendron Festival in Roan Mountain. We hope to see many of you there!

Now, it’s back to work at the meadow for me...I've been busy clearing out the beds and planting next year’s spring annuals.

🌾COVERED BRIDGE DAYS is this weekend, and we are so excited to be part of the festivities this year!✨

We will be bringing Bluebell the Flower Truck on Saturday only, and will be parked along Elk Ave in the vendor area! ✨🌾

We’re bringing a truck full of unique flowers so that you can build a wrapped bouquet or mason jar arrangement. We'll also have grab and go options along with pressed & dried everlasting gifts that you can enjoy long after the festival ends.

Come by on Saturday to:
💐 Build your own wrapped bouquet or mason jar
🫙 Grab a pre-made bundle of flowers
🎨 Pick up unique, handmade dried flower gifts including some autumn and holiday goodies

What I learned this week at the Dahlia Design Summit 🌿

The biggest lesson I learned is that It’s okay to take time for myself.

When I signed up for this class, I figured I’d watch one lesson here and there. Maybe attend half the calls and classes when I had the time. Because, of course, there was always something else that needed to be done.

But instead, I decided to fully immerse myself in the experience.

Was there some guilt? Yes.
Is my house a mess? Yes.
Is my garden a mess? Also yes. 😂

But you know what? I enjoyed every single moment of this week.

I gave myself permission to learn, to create, to be inspired, and to simply spend time doing things that fill my cup.

And I learned SO much...not just about flowers and design, but about creating beautiful arrangements with more intention. So many little tips and tricks that I can't wait to bring home and incorporate into my own work. 🌸

And yesterday was the grand finale: three classes covering two things that have always been close to my heart: photography, and something that's becoming a new creative love of mine, flower pressing. 📷🌿

I'm realizing that taking time for myself isn't taking time away from The Moonflower Meadow. It's part of building a better, healthier, more creative me...and I know that version of me has so much more to give.

So here are two of the arrangements I created this week. I'm so grateful I let myself fully experience this instead of trying to squeeze it into the cracks of everything else.
