Yesterday, Tennessee lost a piece of its heart. 💔

And today, we found ourselves looking at this little piece of paper very differently.

Once upon a time, a box of Cookie Crate cookies left our little corner of East Tennessee with a shipping label bearing a name we could hardly believe:

Dolly Parton. 🩷🦋
(We framed the label!)

At the time, it was simply one of those pinch-me moments for a small business. We had made something with our own hands, packed it into a box, taped it shut. Somewhere on the other end, ‘The’ Dolly Parton was going to open it!

But today, this little label feels different.
Dolly was never just a famous person from Tennessee, she WAS Tennessee.

Rest easy, Dolly.

From one little Tennessee cookie shop that was once lucky enough to send a little sweetness your way.

We will always love you. 💗🍪✨

PS - I included this photo as a reminder that as locally owned businesses, we are ALL doing our best to bring this life back to the heart of our community, our downtown district. When we thrive, (not just survive) we can pour back into our ‘village’ and become even stronger. THIS is why we show up every single day.❤️
