Fascinating!! 3,000 year old grass weavings from a sod house in Kodiak Alaska

Discovered during excavations of an ancestral sod house on Alaska’s Kodiak Island, 3,000-year-old fragments of what were likely grass mats that covered the dwelling’s sleeping quarter are the oldest known examples of weaving made by the Kodiak Alutiiq people.
