🕯️ September 11, 2001 — 25 Years Later
Today, we remember.
Twenty-five years later, there are some days in history that still feel impossible to put into words.
We remember the thousands of innocent lives lost that day.
We remember the families who were changed forever.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and every first responder who answered the call and ran toward something most of us could never imagine.
As someone who has spent much of my own life in emergency medical services, September 11 carries a very personal meaning for me. I have a deep respect for the men and women who answered that call that day—and for the first responders who continued working at Ground Zero and carried the physical and emotional weight of it long afterward.
But I also remember something else about September 11:
For a little while, we came together.
We didn’t seem to care about our differences. We cared about our neighbors. We cared about strangers. We stood together, helped one another, and remembered what it meant to be Americans.
Twenty-five years later, I hope we never forget any of it—the lives, the sacrifice, the courage, the heartbreak, and the unity.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🕯️
