I've been out of it since September and completely missed crafting while I struggled with a brief bout of depression, wrangling school, kids and returning to the office full time. So in place of cute Halloween creatures, here's an adorable Christmas ornament that I finished last night! He's available to purchase as well as some lacy snowflakes at Church Street Market!

If I have things lined up to make for you, please understand that its been a STRUGGLE to even complete one thing in two months. The crafting muse just decided that she had to make something to get out of the funk. I haven't forgotten you....I just needed time to emerge from my cave.

Last night while I was out shopping Matt sent me a picture of a hummingbird that Beorn had found. He thought it was dead being full of rain water and gravel and doggy drool 😒. But then it started moving!! So Matt got him a little container and made some sugar water and put him outside until I got home. I warmed him up and offered him the sugar water and he perked up a bit! The wildlife center was closed for the evening so we put him back in his little container outside and let nature take its course overnight. This morning we were overjoyed to see that he had survived and he took a short trip with me to the where he will hopefully make a full recovery and be able to fly again one day 💕. I can't believe I've never been up there before!! Definitely taking the kids up there this weekend if we get the chance.

So i didn't keep up with my Faery Celebration as well as I thought I would...Life!! What can you do?!
So here's my contribution for day 13!! My favorite thing about Brian Froud's faeries are they aren't beautiful perfect creatures as some tales depict them. They are as Tolkien describes them in "On Fairy Stories" as they were of Faerie, meaning the world where they live. Some are small, some are giant!!
