New upgrades going on the Ranger! 🎣 Installing the new Lowrance Ghost X and NMEA setup, and I can’t wait to get her on the water, finish dialing everything in, and get back to fishing!

Beautiful day on the water! 🍂☀️ Fall is an amazing time to be out fishing and enjoying the sunshine.

The fishing was a little slow, but having my son—one of the best fishing partners I could ask for—with me made it a great day. Missing my other two sons today, but they’ll be joining us soon. Looking forward to having all my boys out there making memories together.

Beautiful fall day on Wallum Lake! 🎣🍂

The bite started off a little slow, but we stuck with it, made a few adjustments, and eventually got some bass in the boat.

Hard to complain about a day like this — fall colors, calm water, and a few fish to make it even better.

Another great day doing what we love.

🎣 Is the stick bait still the ultimate bass-catching tool in our arsenal?

With all the new lures, colors, electronics and techniques we have today, sometimes it’s easy to overlook one of the simplest baits in the box — the stick bait.

Wacky rig it. Texas rig it. Throw it weightless. Put it on a shakey head. Add a little weight and fish it deeper.

Same bait. Completely different presentations.

And when the bite gets tough, how many of us eventually reach for one? 🙋‍♂️

For me, the stick bait is one of those baits that deserves a spot in the boat every single trip.

Tonight we’re keeping it simple — feet up, a cold drink, a little snack, and relaxing. 🍻

The boat will still be there tomorrow… and the bass better enjoy the night off. 😂

Sometimes it’s good to just slow down and enjoy the evening.
