My friend, Jen, at the Emporium shared this article with me! This young man took some of his grandparents’ belongings after they passed away and recreated a little space in a shed that looked just like their house. He visits the shed often and remembers all the good times with his grandparents while surrounded by some of their treasures. What a cool idea! 👵🏼👴🏻

That’s kind of what I strive to do at my booth - buying things that remind me of my grandparents in the hopes that others have those same memories when they see the items! There’s nothing like Grandma and Grandpa’s house. 🏡

After his grandma died, Hudson Waters built a backyard shed to recreate his grandparents’ home and preserve family memories with their belongings.

Christmas in June! 🎅🏼✝️🎄Love finding some good Christmas gems at estate sales! I usually go to the basement first at with a lot of people keeping Christmas there. This week, I found a pop-up sale that had no preview pictures and got there at 1 pm, so didn’t know if I would find anything but was pleasantly surprised when I found some Christmas gems in the basement. No one had even touched the boxes yet! Coming to my booth around Christmas time! 🎁 Just a couple items I picked up. It has been a summer for finding Shiny Brite ornaments!

Story time and a little family history for you!

For Halloween one year, my Grandma Duncan made me a Pumpkin costume. From that point forward, my nickname became “Punkin Duncan”.

Fast forward to my Great Aunt Rita Striegel’s estate sale where I bought a snowman trinket box, made in Limoges, France. Then the obsession with tiny trinket boxes began!

I recently found this pumpkin trinket box from an online auction and thought I would use it to store the pumpkin necklace Grandma Duncan got me. I also had a charm made a year ago with “Punkin Duncan” on it in my Grandma’s handwriting!

I was recently talking my [second] cousin, Sherri who has an antique booth in Nebraska. She was telling me about how much she likes little trinket boxes too and sells them in her booth. I guess it runs in the family!

What kind of family treasures do you have that tell a story? 👵🏼

If anyone collects Limoges, I currently have a heart shaped trinket box in my booth for sale, too!
