This is a really nice chalcedony geode from Hamilton, Illinois. I collected it from Jacob's Geodes years ago. Gary Jacobs had really nice geodes on his land. Lots of minerals and mineral combinations.

I'm kinda partial to Calcite in geodes. Not that it's rare but there are so many crystal habits and formations in Keokuk Geodes of this mineral. I've collected many geodes that have aragonite as well. Perfect examples of polymorphs in one geode. I swear I could do a mineralogy related lesson using geodes.
