Tied a re-order from the northwoods of Wisconsin. Beaded “worms”, heavy beads for casting ability. Nightcrawler jigs. Sabiki flys that will be headed to the Florida Keys in November/December to catch baitfish. Then an experiment for northerns or bass in northern Wisconsin. Great day of tying! As always feel free to share and if you see something you like shoot me a message or an email. [email protected]

Tied some newer stuff today headed to northern Wisconsin later this week. Bead head “worms” tied on size 8 and 6. Then some assorted “nightcrawler” and “leech” jigs. The jigs are all different sizes, some on Ned rig heads, some on ball head. These are going to someone who is trying to limit the amount they spend on live bait. I have found using things like this that we don’t catch quite as many fish, but the ones we do catch are usually bigger.

Tied a few things this weekend for someone up north, will be getting delivered at the end of July. I tied some giant sinking mayfly’s, tied on a size 4 wide gap hook. 6 all brown woolly buggers. A set of perch/crappie flys, 6 - gold, 6 - silver and 3 - irridescent light blue. Tried a new pattern that proved a little more challenging than I thought, but I will keep trying and post when they are up to my standards! Also replenished a few of the colors I was starting to run low on for the bimbo skunks. I am trying to keep some in stock for now.

Had a great weekend last weekend up north trying some of the stuff I have tied and hadn’t had a chance to use. Everything I used was used under a slip bobber for panfish or jigged like you would a jig and minnow/crawler/leech. I fly fished for musky’s and lost a nice one. Bonus was my dad catching a 44” musky on a bucktail with Errington’s guide service. The red jig shown is a ned rig jig with rubber legs and I put a plastic crawfish on the back, worked great until I was bit off (only one I made). Walleye, northern, bass and crappie. The crappies were caught on the perch/crappie/white bass flys. Bluegills were caught on my version of the bead head bimbo skunk and another ice fly in green/white combo. We tried small beadhead woolly buggers off the pier before a storm rolled in and caught a couple bluegills.
